Bathroom and garage room remodeling. Bathroom remodeling entailed expansion, complete demolition, and re-install of tub, shower, toilet, sink, and sky light into previously dark bathroom with no window. Room remodeling included roof insulation, rehanging walls, board, and painting. Floating laminate flooring was added and track lighting. Mr. James Moore did a great job of telling what was wrong and providing an estimate ahead of the work for us to review the cost benefits of doing the work. Mr. Moore is a craftsman with attention to detail and an excellent work product. He is professional and has great subcontractors. Mr. Moore and his crew are not cheap, but they deliver a great product, are professional and trustworthy.

J.D. (James) Moore is reliable and exacting. His work is not cheap. He strives for perfection and he comes closer than any contractor we have ever known. He is honest, trustworthy and dependable, and he has subcontractors who adhere to his work and personal standards. We went out of town for two weeks while he remodeled one of our bathrooms. He had access to our home every day. We did not have to worry a bit. The work got done, it got done right, and it got done within a few days of the estimated time planned, which in remodeling is a huge success. We are going to have him remodel two more bathrooms and our kitchen over the next couple of years. And if we ever want to have our "dream home" built from scratch, we will hire J.D. Moore to build it. That kind of quality and service is rare.

James and his team completely renovated the master bathroom in our townhouse. We wanted to maximize the limited space available in our townhouse and opted to reconfigure our existing bathroom by installing a pocket door and replacing the tub with a walk-in shower. To accomplish this they: (1) demolished the existing bathroom, (2) reframed the walls for the pocket door, walk-in shower, and medicine cabinets, (3) upgraded the electrical service to the bathroom then installed recessed lighting, a new bath fan, and electrical receptacles, and (4) relocated the plumbing for the walk-in shower. I hired JD Moore Construction in 2011 to assist me with rebuilding the deck on my townhouse. James impressed me with his craftsmanship, professionalism, and attention to detail. I have a lot of experience doing home improvement and have an extreme attention to detail. When we decided to remodel the master bathroom this year JD Moore Construction was first company I contacted. James and his team impressed us with their knowledge and assistance finalizing the bathroom design and selecting the appropriate materials and fixtures for the new bathroom. We appreciated James suggestions such as installing Kohler medicine cabinets and a hand shower. On the first day his crew arrived and covered the hardware floors and carpet to protect them from damage during the renovation. His crew cleaned up at the end of each day and left things tidy which was appreciated with two small children in the house. His crew took pride in their work throughout the entire renovation and it shows in the final product. Overall James and team did an outstanding job during the renovation.

JD (James) Moore Construction Co., LLC, has done four (4) major projects for our home (however, the above dollar amount is only for the most recent and most major project). Prior projects included installing a natural gas-powered, whole house backup generator with associated electrical transfer panel; remodeling two entire bathrooms, and remodeling our guest half-bathroom.). These full bathroom remodeling projects included marble floors, walls, baseboards, sinks and counters, medicine cabinets, new plumbing & electrical wiring/switches, new toilets, new electrical outlets and ceiling and wall-mounted lighting, and special glass tile accent stripes. In addition for the master bathroom, James installed a heated marble floor & control panel, custom glass shower & privacy walls, roof exit exhaust ventilation, ceiling and pendant lighting, a free-standing bathtub with floor-mounted pedestal faucet, Jacuzzi air circulation and underwater lights. These required special plumbing, wiring, and air handling inside a specially crafted, marble-topped equipment box, and a tub control panel. Other work included new sub-flooring to waterproof this second floor bathroom, drywall upgrades/replacements, adjacent walk-in closet wall renovation (drywall upgrades/replacements, new door & door frame, painting, and wood flooring), and bathroom painting, modification of window frames and new crown molding. James Moore and his excellent staff and, when (rarely) needed, subcontractor specialists are craftsmen with the skill and patience to expertly perform these disparate construction tasks. Moreover, he and they are problem solvers with an artistic eye and extensive experience to overcome the inevitable surprises. They also devise and suggest solutions, changes or installation approaches to achieve esthetic excellence and design compatibility. Although my wife selected all the individual materials, fixtures, and components, his firm expertly installed them -- equally crucial to the final outcome. Additionally, they devised (out of necessity) or suggested, based on their artistic sense, alternative solutions compatible with her materials choices, e.g., a marble faucet pedestal compatible with and a component part of the shower base “curb.” He suggested design features to incorporate, e.g., an alternative marble edging and the design of the lower window framing to give needed "visual weight" to the base of the bay windows. James’s artistic and craftsmanship ideas leap quickly to his mind and he explains them well. Those skills, capabilities, planning, and unstinting attention to detail apply equally to his lead staff. No rookies accompany James on a project. We have been repeat customers because his service delivery has been exemplary every time. How many skilled workmen consistently receive that customer assessment? James is adamant about providing customer satisfaction and solicits feedback as work progresses. Throughout, he is courteous and solicitous. James Moore Construction Co is not inexpensive and, once work commences, is diligent on its completion.
